Programmes Manager

Eunice is a human rights, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) practitioner with over sixteen years’ experience in the development sector. She is passionate about social justice and has contributed to promoting this course in the different roles she has held. Eunice has coordinated interventions in partnership with civil society and state actors towards good governance, accountability, gender and social inclusion. She has a good blend of managerial and technical competencies for programme and strategy development, civil society strengthening, capacity building, gender and social inclusion programming. Prior to joining the Foundation, Eunice worked as the GESI and capacity building Eunice has worked in different roles within multi-donor funded programmes, such as the Strengthening Transparency Accountability Responsiveness (STAR-Ghana) Programme and the Ghana Research & Advocacy Programme; and international non-government organisations including the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), Voluntary Services Organization (VSO) and IBIS International. In managerial and advisory roles, Eunice has made direct contribution to civil society, an enabling environment for citizens and state engagement on public governance, legal, policy and social reforms in Ghana, Cameroon and The Gambia. Eunice has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She also has professional certificates in organisational development from the Gestalt Organisational Development and Advisory Services.

Finance and Administration Manager

Mary is responsible for the financial management and control as well as the operational activities of the Foundation. Mary brings to the role 15 years’ experience as a Financial Management and Accounting Professional in: Financial Accounting; Management Accounting; Strategic Business Planning and Analysis, Risk Management Design & Implementation, Internal/ External Audit Oversight, Preparation and Presentation of Integrated Annual Reports of International Non-Governmental Organisations including USAID, FHI360, UK Aid and the European Union. She is a high performing Finance executive with a proven track record of teaching Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Business Management at the University, Professional and Secondary School levels. Mary is a Ph.D. Candidate in Business Administration and a qualified Chartered Accountant. She holds an MBA in Accounting and Taxation, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Education Degree. In addition, Mary has over 10 years’ experience teaching Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Business Management at the tertiary, professional and Secondary School levels.
Nicholas Ayensu-Appiah

Grants and Due Diligence Manager

Nicholas is an experienced Programmes and Grant Management professional with over 18 years’ experience. He has worked with major international profit and non-profit organisations including the 2nd Phase of the STAR-Ghana Programme (Christian Aid), AngloGold Ashanti Ltd., World Vision International, CSA-QUIPS Project – USAID etc. He has extensive experience that span fund/grant management, project management, project appraisal and assessment, project design, evaluation and sustainability and transition planning. He has worked and led on diverse projects in the areas of local economic development, water and sanitation, health, education, among others. He also has demonstrable expertise in grants and fund management and has lead and coordinated the administration of over £25m multiple donor funds. He holds an MBA in Project Management from GIMPA (2011). He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) - Ghana
Frank Kwaku Amoateng
Frank Kwaku Amoateng

Results and Learning (R&L) Manager

Frank leads on the development and implementation of the Foundation’s Results and Learning strategies including systems for monitoring, evaluation and reporting, and the aggregation and dissemination of results. Frank brings to the role 14 years of managing M&E systems of several donor organisations including Global Fund, IPPF, DFID, JICA, JOICFP and DFATD. He has strong expertise in Project Planning and Management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, and Results Logic Analysis. Prior to joining STAR-Ghana Foundation, Frank worked as the Senior M&E Manager of the STAR-Ghana Programme (Christian Aid), M&E lead at Right To Play (RTP-Ghana) and M&E Coordinator at Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG). Frank has a post-graduate diploma in Leadership Development from the Management Sciences for Health Incorporated (United States) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana). In additional he has professional certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) from the University of Ghana School of Public Health, Project and Financial Management from Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI), and Project Management Professional from Step Up Business School. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, Ghana (IoD) and the Ghana Monitoring and Evaluation Forum (GMEF).
